MINI SHOOT DAY

More Info

WHO IS IT FOR?

The annual Mini Shoot Day is designed to provide an affordable, entry-level option, that includes a beautiful location. It's a great way to test the waters and experience the benefits of professional branding images, without committing to a larger, more comprehensive package. The Mini Shoot is perfect for those who just can't seem to find the time to do a larger photo shoot. It requires a lot less time and effort on your part, and offers a quick and streamlined experience, with a faster turnaround. You may not need a huge collection of images at this stage, and just need a lil refresh of images - the Mini Shoot is a great way to focus on getting the specific shots that you need.

ABOUT THE STUDIO

A luxury daylight photo studio spread across two floors in a Grade II listed Victorian & English Heritage building. The perfect location for personal branding shoots and elevated content creation with a clean, modern and neutral aesthetic - staged as a lifestyle set with various backdrops for you to choose from.

There is free parking on site, a beauty station, a steamer and clothes rail to make sure your outfits are in top shape, storage for suitcases, a kitchen stocked with premium teas, coffee & bubbly to celebrate!

FAQ

Question

How can I use the photos? What does a commercial and editorial license mean?

Answer

You can pretty much use the photos however ya like. They're often used for your website, social media, advertising, press, book covers and marketing materials. The only thing you can't do, is sell your images. We retain copyright of the images, which is standard in the industry.

Question

When will I receive the finished online gallery?

Answer

Your images will be ready to download after a maximum of 20 working days. Usually it's half that, but we like to give ourselves a little buffer, just in case our computer spontaneously combusts or something.

Question

I'm super awkward in front of the camera. How will you get good photos of me?!

Answer

Firstly, I feel ya. I emulate Chandler from F.R.I.E.N.D.S when a camera is pointed in our direction - I know how scary and uncomfortable it can feel. But panic not - awkward people are my speciality! As you'll see from our portfolio, everyone looks happy and relaxed - yet they were all super nervous to begin with. It's totally normal. You've just gotta trust me when I say that I can get great photos out of even the most camera shy of people! Just check our 'Reviews' story highlight on Instagram, for proof!

Question

What should I wear?

Answer

We'll send you a style guide that will help with this, but it really depends on you and your brand. As a general rule of thumb, we suggest a casual outfit, a smart-casual outfit and a smart outfit. For an hour shoot, we suggest 1-3 outfits maximum.

Question

Do I have a choice of what images I get, and can I purchase more?

Answer

Yes and yes! You'll be sent an online gallery (the images will have a watermark initially), and from there you can select your included images, and choose to purchase any more if you wish. Additional images are £15 per photo.

Question

How far in advance should I book?

Answer

Mini shoot days sell out really fast - so run, don't walk!

Question

How can I get the most content out of our shoot?

Answer

The planning guide will help you with this.

Question

Can I bring props to the shoot?

Answer

Please do! Props are really handy. We like to start off with 'working' shots, as it gives you something to do, and eases you into the shoot! Our clients tend to include things like a laptop, notebook, phone, samples, mood boards or any other objects that show more about their industry or personal style.

Question

Do you edit the photos?

Answer

Yes, the photos are all edited in our signature style. I include basic spot removal, subtle skin smoothing, eye sharpening and brightening and teeth whitening. I also remove small distracting elements, like plug sockets, light switches and wires etc. Digital manipulation is available at an extra cost, if needed.

Question

Will I receive high and low resolution images?

Answer

Yes, you'll receive your images in low resolution (which work best for your social media and website) and high resolution (best for printing).

Question

Will I receive the unedited and/or RAW images?

Answer

I'm afraid not. It would be like paying to go to a Michelin star restaurant, for them to just throw the food on the plate, without any thought on presentation. A lot goes into the post-production of an image. We don't want you receiving a half-finished product, and I also don't want anyone thinking that's the kind of work I deliver!

Question

Do I have to credit/tag you?

Answer

You don't have to, but it means an awful lot to me when you do! I get all of my business this way, so if someone books me thanks to you, you'll get money off your next shoot.

Question

How do I book and pay?

Answer

Simply scroll down to fill out the contact form. A signed contract and 50% deposit secures your booking.

Question

How can I find out more?

Answer

Scroll to the contact form to ask any questions.

Question

What happens if I'm late?

Answer

As I'll be doing back-to-back shoots that day, it is important that you arrive 15 minutes early to your photo shoot. If you're late, I'm afraid you won't receive any additional time, and it will encroach upon your allocated time slot.
